Maggie Brennan (they/them) is a Bay-Area actor, writer, and teaching artist. Originally from the Appalachian mountains of northern Pennsylvania, they graduated with honors from Temple University’s theater program. They’ve also trained at The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland.

Maggie’s performances have been praised for their “ease, clarity, and smoldering intensity” (Cat Ramirez, Director). They bring instinctual curiosity and down-home hard f*cking work to the table. Maggie is deeply passionate about projects that uplift and reimagine queer and disabled stories.

Maggie’s debut short script CARE TAKER was a quarter-finalist in the 2025 BlueCat Screenplay Competition and received production support from the Philadelphia Independent Media Fund and Seed&Spark Patrons Circle. GARDEN GIRLS, co-written with Sophie Aguila, was a 2025 finalist for the JASNA Young Filmmakers Contest.

When they’re not performing, writing, or teaching, Maggie can be found on the hunt for a good cup of coffee or sitting in the sun with their cats (Bill and Bird).
